The translation has to be issued by a sworn translator!

Please keep in mind that the translation has to be linked with the original document or with a certified copy.

Application deadline

For the doctorate there are more generous application deadlines, meaning that application is also possible after the end of the grace period (winter semester on the 30 November and summer semester on the 30 April).

However, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible and that you take the start of lectures into consideration. If you submit the application later, admission in the same semester cannot be guaranteed.

Processing time

The application process can take several weeks. Please take this into account when planning your studies. Also note that admission might not be possible in the semester applied for.

Tuition fee

Regular students with an EU/ EEA nationality only pay the student union fee per semester as long as they study in the minimum study duration (+ grace semester).

More information on tuition fee and on possible waivers are available here.

This is a shortend summary of the application information. Please also read our website on the admission process for international students!
