Application process
International students always need to file an application for enrollment and fill ou the required application form. The application with all required documents must be submitted by post or put in the mail box in fron of the Academic Affairs office.
The address is: Academic Affairs, Universitätsplatz 3a, 8010 Graz
The applicaton for studies must be submitted within the application deadline.
The whole process can take several weeks. Please consider that an admission in the intended semester might not be possible.
The documents will only be checked within the application process! We do not consider applications or documents sent per email.
Due to data protection regulations, we are not able to answer requests regarding the application status per email or phone!
Insufficient application documents
If documents are missing or incorrect, the applicant will receive a notification by post (so called Verbesserungsauftrag). The notification lists the incorrect and missing documents and gives the deadline until when the documents must be resubmitted. Please keep in mind that ALL documents must be resubmitted.
If the documents are not resubmitted correctly within the deadline, the application will be rejected.
Admission
There are two admission possibilities at University of Graz:
- Admission for enrollment without any supplementary examination (neither German nor other subjects)
- Admission for enrollment with supplementary examination (German and/or other subjects)
Please know that the above mentioned supplementary examination refers to exams that have to be taken before starting the regular study programme. It is possible that some exams can be taken during the regular study programme (for example Latin).
For Master's- and Doctorate's programmes it is possible that additional courses have to be taken during the course of studying the programme.
