Graduation ceremonies

You can only register for the graduation ceremony (academic ceremony) after officially completing your studies and receiving your certificate of graduation and letter of conferment.

Graduates receive the award certificate (official document confirming the award of the academic degree) in electronic form with an official signature.
The completion of your studies is first processed at the respective dean's office/examination office and appears in UNIGRAZOnline after completion. 
In UNIGRAZonline, you can then view the draft of your award certificate under the application "Online Application Academic Affairs" and check the data for accuracy. After uploading the Statistik Austria confirmation and submitting the waiver of appeal, the final notification will be made available to you in the application.

However, after completing your studies, you will be automatically informed by the study department by e-mail about the exact procedure for obtaining the award notification.

Should you not wish to continue your studies after completing the relevant programme, you will not receive your letter of conferment unless you have returned all your borrowed books to the Library and paid all due fees.

If you do not wish to attend the graduation ceremony, you can just order your certificate for a fee of € 25.00 (incl.the roll), which Academic Affairs office will issue after paying the fee at Academic Affairs office and fillin in an application form.
