Graduation ceremonies

You can only register for the graduation ceremony (academic ceremony) after officially completing your studies and receiving your certificate of graduation and letter of conferment.

 

The completion of your study programme is processed at the relevant examination office and appears on UNIGRAZOnline after finishing it. If this is the case, you will receive your certificate of graduation at the relevant dean's office and your letter of conferment (authorisation to hold an academic degree) at Academic Affairs office. 

 

You will need to present the following documents for your letter of conferment at Academic Affairs office:

  • UNIGRAZCard or official identitiy card bearing a phototgraph of the holder
  • confirmation from Statistik Austria

Should you not wish to continue your studies after completing the relevant programme, you will not receive your letter of conferment unless you have returned all your borrowed books to the Library and paid all due fees.

Dates Academic Year 2022/23

Please note that the individual dates could be canceled at short notice due to the current situation (Covid-19)!

Dates for other faculty will follow soon.

If you do not wish to attend the graduation ceremony, you can just order your certificate for a fee of € 25.00 (incl.the roll), which Academic Affairs office will issue after paying the fee at Academic Affairs office and fillin in an application form
