Admission periods

In principle, persons may enrol during this admission period who either

a) are admitted to the University of Graz OR
b) have been admitted to the University of Graz in the past

  • If you have never been enrolled at the University of Graz before, you are subject to the submission deadlines.
  • If you were no longer registered at the University of Graz after 1990, your data may not be stored in the university's system. In this case, an online application within the respective submission deadline is necessary.
    In case of doubt, please contact the study department in advance by e-mail.

Admission deadline for summer semester: Early January  to February 5

Admission deadline for winter semester: Mid July to September 5

►First-time enrollment

During this admission period, persons who have completed a Bachelor's degree programme at the University of Graz and wish to start a consecutive Master's degree programme may enrol.

Persons who wish to enrol for a non-consecutive Master's programme must in any case submit their application within the submission deadline submit the required documents.

Admission deadline for summer semester: Early January to May 31

Admission deadline for winter semester: Mid July to November 30

!!Attention!!
The semester fee for the semester in question must be received EXCEPT by May 31/November 30 at the latest. As the bank transfer usually takes 3 days, it may be necessary to register earlier so that the amount can be received on time!

 

►Re-entry/continuation

Shorter deadlines apply for the continuation (reopening) of a discontinued degree program.

Summer semester: beginning of January to March 31

Winter semester: beginning/mid-July to October 31

For all doctoral programmes, a qualitative admission procedure is carried out by a committee.

a) are admitted to the University of Graz OR
b) have been admitted to the University of Graz in the past

If you have never been enrolled at the University of Graz before, you are subject to the submission deadlines.

Admission deadline for summer semester: Early January  until March 31

Admission deadline for winter semester: Mid July until October 31
