Procedure in the Event of a Negative Decision
If the relevant supporting documents are not provided, or if you do not meet the criteria for a remission, you should expect a negative decision. The prescribed tuition and ÖH fees must then be paid.
This negative decision will be sent to the student in the form of a written notice upon request. Notices also contain information on the right of appeal. This information will state that an appeal may be lodged with the Office of the Director of Studies at the University of Graz. Should a negative decision be issued, the prescribed tuition fee must be paid in any case to ensure re-registration for the semester, as the appeal has no suspensive effect. If the decision of first instance is overturned, the tuition fee will then be refunded in any event. The exact procedure for the appeal process can be found here.
