University Entrance Qualification Examination

In order to be able to register for a degree pragramme at university, you will need to present certification of a secondary school leaving examination (A-Levels). However, in some cases you will have to take additional exams for the intended study programme. The secondary school leaving examination can be substituted by participating in a limited subject-related Examination Programme. Having passed this exam, students qualify for an individual programme (in some cases for a few closely related programmes).

  • The University Entrance Qualification Examination is not equivalent to a secondary school leaving examination and thus does not entitle students to study anything they wish.
  • The University Entrance Qualification Examination can only be taken for programmes offered at the University of Graz.

  • Students cannot take any partial examinations at our University for programmes at universities of applied sciences.

Please check with the respective university of applied sciences which university entrance qualification examination will apply.
