Application for the Scholarship

Application

The application has to be send each semester via the online application programme (Remission and Reimbursement of the Tuition Fees) at your UGO-account.

 The application can be handed in:

  • Winter semester: 1st of October until 10th of December and
  • Summer semester: 4th of March until 10th of May 

The study-related achievements of the previous semester have to be provided and the criteria established in the rectorate's decision for the degree completion scholarship for working students have to be fulfilled.

Each semester a student can only hand in one application for the scholarship for one study programme.

The transfer of the scholarship will happen during the current semester providing the student is registered correctly for the current semester by paying the tuition fee as well as the student's union fee (ÖH fee) and fulfills every other mentioned criteria. 

The subsequent submission of individual supplements is possible for a maximum of 14 days afer you received the written request. Condition for a positive decision is a timely and complete applictaion via UNIGRAZonline. Incomplete applications or applications that are still missing documents after the application period is over will not be considered for the scholarship.

 

Please note that you can only apply for the degree completion scholarship for working students if you fulfill all criteria. It is therefore not possible to apply for the degree completion scholarship for working students if a remission or reimbursement of the tuition fee based on the statutory excemption requirements (University Act 2002 § 92) has already been granted.

Awarding of the Degree Completion Scholarship

The Student will be informed by the rector's office about the decision after the application has been processed. Please refrain from inquiring per email or phone about the status of your application! Condition for a positive decision is a timely and complete applictaion via UNIGRAZonline. Incomplete applications or applications that are still missing documents after the application period is over will not be considered for the scholarship.

Payment of the scholarship

The awarding of the degree completion scholarship is granted within the private-sector administration of the university's rector's office.  There is no legal claim for a payment of the degree completion scholarship.

 

Amount of the Scholarship

The amount of the scholarship is 500 € per semester per student.

 

Reclaiming of the Scholarship

In case students culpably obtained the payment of the scholarship due to untrue statements about required documents, they have to pay back the scholarship immediately in full to the University of Graz regardless of criminal liability.
